Stelios Patsiokas
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Stelios Patsiokas is the CEO of Innovelix, Inc. Prior to Innovelix, Dr. Patsiokas was Executive Vice President of Engineering at XM Satellite Radio and the Corporate Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer at SiriusXM radio, Inc., America’s only nationwide digital satellite radio service. The contributions made by Patsiokas enabled the development of satellite radio that beams over 170 channels of audio programming to listeners anywhere in the United States (Patsiokas was one of the Founders of XM Satellite Radio; he led and completed the development of the entire end-to-end technology including signaling, protocols, integrated circuits, terrestrial repeater network and satellites in two years; XM Satellite Radio raised over $4 billion in capital and drove revenue growth from $50M to $2.8 billion). His work also led XM to be named Fortune Magazine’s Product of the Year; one of Time Magazine’s “Inventions of the Year;” Popular Science’s 2001 “Best of What’s New” in the electronics category; and “Best of CES” at the 2001 Consumer Electronics Show. Dr. Patsiokas has become a driving force within the high-tech world of American and international business. Prior to joining XM Satellite Radio, Dr. Patsiokas worked with Motorola, Inc. for 19 years, where he was a major contributor in the areas of radio wave propagation, microcellular system design and the development of the cordless telephone second-generation technology (CT2). Dr. Patsiokas holds over 47 US patents in the areas of RF communication systems and wireless devices and was inducted in the Space Technology Hall of Fame in 2002.
Stavros Georgakopoulos
President & Founder
Stavros Georgakopoulos is the President and Founder of Innovelix, Inc. Dr. Georgakopoulos is an innovator in wireless systems with 30 years of expertise. He holds 30 patents in various wireless technologies and has successfully led large-scale multi-university research projects on antennas, phased arrays, ultrawideband systems, beamformers, deployable high-gain antennas, and wireless charging. Prior to Innovelix, he worked in the RF/microwave industry and has extensive experience with the management of large scale and complex projects from research and design to prototyping and production. He has published over 250 articles in top-tier journals and conferences, and 4 book chapters. Dr. Georgakopoulos became a Senior IEEE member in 2011, and a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors in 2022. He served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation from 2013 to 2019 and he currently serves an Associate Editor of the IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation (2019–present).
Paul Marko
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Paul Marko is the Senior VP of Engineering and Chief Innovation Officer of Innovelix. Prior to joining Innovelix, Paul was SVP Advanced Technology and Chief Technology Officer for Sirius XM Radio and XM Satellite Radio, respectively. Paul led the development of 6 generations of highly integrated satellite and terrestrial radio chipsets and spearheaded many of the key systems technologies. Prior to satellite radio , Paul spent 18 years at Motorola developing 2-way radio data systems, telepoint and cellular digital phone systems and led development of paging’s core digital receiver chipsets. Paul has expertise in antenna design, diversity systems, EMI, RF propagation and metamaterials. Paul has been inducted into the Space and Technology Hall of Fame and holds or co-holds more than 120 US patents.
